Bitcoin is dead

In the media, Bitcoin is frequently declared dead (see below, source: Bitcoin Obituaries). We wondered if this is more common if the price went down? If you look at the chart, it seems that Bitcoin is more often declared dead the more the price fluctuates no matter in what direction.
